Slow Down Slouchy Hat Jämtland

A warm and cosy hat with a fun graphic pattern. The corrugated rib for the brim and mosaic pattern for the body of the hat are great opportunities to try out and practice different colour work techniques.

Using two solid colours will give you a more graphic look and using one solid and one variegated colour yields a hat with more blended look of the mosaic pattern.

You can use any fingering/sport weight yarn (ca. 300-350 m/100g) in two colours or purchase one of the 2 x 50 g Jämtland kits in the shop.
If you prefer to knit the brim as a single colour 2×2 rib I suggest to cast on 10-20 stitches less than the pattern calls for. Otherwise the fit will be too loose.

Sizes: 54-55 [56-57 and 58-59] cm head circumference

Suggested needle size: 3.0 and 3.5 mm

This pattern was created with the intention to help slow down the knitter’s inner pace through the rhythm of the stitch patterns used.
